The Easiest Ham You Will Ever Make

So Easter has come and gone but thats not the only occasion for HAM! The best thing about making a ham is that they're huge, which means the leftovers can be stretched for the entire following week and there are soooo many options...sandwiches, spilt pea soup, ham salad, breakfast hash...it's ham galore!

My recipe for slow cooked ham is the absolute easiest way to go about it. It literally took me 5 minutes to put together and the slow cooker does the rest. The result was unbelievable! The most tender, juicy, melt in your mouth goodness I've EVER had in a ham. Once I pulled it out of the slow cooker to carve, I was surprised by how there wasn't even much to carve. It just fell apart on the tray like pulled pork. Well I guess technically it is pulled pork...but even better. Is that even possible?!

Ingredients:
5-6 lb ham (fat trimmed)
2 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c.brown sugar
1/2 c. real maple syrup
1 T. cinnamon
1/2 T. ground cloves

Stir pineapple juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, and ground cloves together and pour into slow cooker. Coat ham with brown sugar and place into slow cooker with juice mixture. If the ham doesn't quite fit you can trim pieces off. Set the slow cooker for 6 hrs, basting occasionally. Once finished, remove with tongs, pull apart and serve.

ps...If you plan on making a split pea and ham soup, save the bone! (that recipe is next up;)
